Aviva Bidapa is an Action Star in Real Life

Aviva Bidapa, the daughter of famous fashion designer Prasad Bidapa, is not the one to keep quiet when something wrong happens before her eyes. Aviva, who made her Sandalwood debut last week with the release of the film Ale, in which she plays one of the two leading ladies in the love triangle, took her maid's husband to task on Sunday. She noticed that her house maid was being beaten up by her husband.

Aviva put out her side of the story saying, "Today, I witnessed domestic violence in my own home with the help's husband beating her black and blue." But that was not the end of the story. Aviva took him to task immediately. And she was proud of what she did. "Almost killed him. In the process of tearing him a new one," she continued. Sandalwood producers who want an action heroine take note.

Nikita learning Kannada!

When Mumbai-based lass and Sandalwood actress Nikita Thukral decided to participate in a Kannada reality show she knew she would be locked up with other inmates for several weeks.

Nikita was aware it was going to be a challenge, as she wasn't fluent in speaking the language. During the entire course of 12-odd weeks of the show, Nikita was targeted for her Kannada. 

Her immediate plan, according to the actress, is to learn Kannada and read scripts that come to her in the language and she is reportedly taking lessons so that going forward she can dubbing in Kannada for her forthcoming Sandalwood films.

Yogaraj Bhat moves to Bollywood

Mungaru Male director Yogaraj Bhat has reportedly shifted his base Mumbai for the next six months to work on his Bollywood debut. 

His manager and confidante Subramanya and his scriptwriters will also accompany him in Mumbai during this time where the formalities have been reportedly completed for an apartment in the Ballard area.

The director has reportedly mentioned that he had made four attempts to enter Bollywood and he was very close to doing a film with Boney Kapoor after Mungaru Male, but that didn't work out. This time, he is making sure to direct all efforts when everything fell in place for a Kannada-Hindi bilingual.

Veena Malik's hot acts!

Right from the time Pakistani actress Veena Malik was roped in to do a Kannada film, Silk Sakkath Hot, a reported biopic on the south siren Silk Smitha, there has always been a buzz about the film.

Sources say that the latest buzz in social media is that Veena will be sporting a bikini for one of the songs in the film. The first half of the film reportedly has very high glamour content and it is in the second half that the real story unfolds.

The song was shot in islands of Pattaya which were sung by Javed Ali and Sadhana Sargam. There are reports that some steamy sequences were also shot.

Sudeep's Kannada film in Hindi release

Kannada star Kichcha Sudeep, who had risen to national fame with Makkhi last year, will reportedly have another Hindi release soon.

Sources now say that the actor's Kannada film Bachchan is slated for a worldwide release in Hindi this August. The film was one of this year's box office hits in Kannada.

This features a few known faces from Bollywood such as Tulip Joshi and Ashish Vidhyarthi, along with many South Indian stars. Sudeep has previously acted in Hindi films such as Phoonk, Phoonk 2, Rakht Charitra and Rann.

Kannada actor Adityaa is definitely on a mission as he joins the league of long list of actors who aim to get those fantastically fit abs.

Sources say he is now relying on his personal trainer to take him through the strict workout schedule put together by Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan's trainer Kris Gethin.

Karnataka CM allots land for Vishnuvardhan's Memorial

Sources say that at last, the two-acre of land to build the memorial of Sandalwood legend Dr Vishnuvardhana has reportedly been handed over by the government of Karnataka to the deceased actor's wife Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana recently.

CM Siddaramaiah reportedly handed over the land to Bharathi, and Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) President Vijayakumar was also present during the occasion. The memorial will come up near Abhiman Studio. It has been close to three years since family and fans of the legendary actor of Kannada cinema fought a battle to get the land sanctioned from the government.

Yogaraj Bhat planning to rope Nana Patekar?

It is already known that Kannada film director Yogaraj Bhat is gearing up for his Hindi film. There were reports earlier that Amitabh Bachchan will be a part of the film but latest news according to sources is that Nana Patekar will be playing a pivotal role in the film.

Yogaraj is planning to cast him in the film but has reportedly expressed hope that things be finalised in the next few days. Amitabh Bachchan and Nana Patekar earlier worked together for 1999 flick, Kohram directed by Mehul Kumar which however failed at the box-office.
