Uttara Unni under scanner in solar scam!

Sources say Malayalam actress Uttara Unni, daughter of actress Urmila Unni, is reportedly under the scanner regarding the solar scam.

Sources say the actress' name appears in the list of people who were flown to Chennai under the auspices of the company. Uttara had also updated her Facebook status in August 2012, saying that she had been selected as the brand ambassador for 'Team Solar''.

Urmila Unni has reportedly made it clear that Uthara has no connection whatsoever with Biju Radhakrishnan or Saritha Nair, the prime accused in the scam and that she went to Chennai in the capacity of a model

'Njanara Mon' shooting begins!

Debutant director Thufail Ponnani's film Njanara Mon has reportedly started shooting after many delays and long pre-production works.

The film has Maqbool Salmaan, Sreeraman, Sunil Sugatha, Hresh, Joy Mathew and Shajon Kalabhavan in the lead roles and touted to be a rom-com and family entertainer.

The film features many comic actors like Kalabhavan Abhi, Dharmajan and Moly Aunty. Scripted by Arun P R, the film seems will be reportedly revolving around a film related theme.

'Vedivazhipadu' hits floors!

The regular shooting of Vedivazhipadu, the maiden production venture of director Arun Kumar Aravind reportedly commenced on July 6 in Trivandrum.

Sources say the film is scripted and directed by newcomer Shambu Purushothaman, a graduate of Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute.

Vedivazhipadu features Indrajith Sukumaran, Srijith Ravi, Sunil Sugatha, Murali Gopy, Ashvin Mathew, Mythili, Saiju Kurup, Anushree and Anumol. The film is expected to release in December.

Arjun Lal in comeback to Mollywood?

Arjun Lal, who played Mohanlal's son in the 2005 film Thanmathra is all set to make a comeback to industry after a hiatus of eight years.

Sources say he will be seen in John Robinson's Asha Black, along with Manoj K Jayan, Sarath Kumar and Joy Mathew.

In the film he plays the role of a musician who has his own band in Bangalore while the title character Asha, who assumes that her father loathes her for being the ugliest girl ever, gradually starts seeking other people's affection.

Murali Gopy scripting for Dileep-Fahadh's film

Murali Gopy is a busy bee these days with several acting and scripting tasks. Murali, who is currently busy scripting for superstar Mohanlal will reportedly provide script for ad filmmaker Rathish Ambat's film with Dileep and Fahadh Faasil in the lead.

After wrapping Mohanlal's Lucifer, he is expected to start working on the Dileep, Fahadh-starrer only next year. The Ee Adutha Kalathu actor is all set to play a prominent role in the film.

After Lal Jose's 2004 hit movie Rasikan, this will be the second movie that Murali will be scripting for Dileep. Further details about the project would be revealed soon.

Right from the time it was announced that Priyadarshan will be teaming up with Mohanlal in Geethanjali, many names have been doing the rounds as to who will be the heroine in the film.

While it is being said that yesteryear actress Menaka and film producer Suresh Kumar's daughter Keerthi would be making her debut as one of the leading ladies in the film, sources say the role may also go to Mamta Mohandas.
