If someone asked her if she was the daughter of actor Kamal Haasan, Shruti used to say no and call herself Pooja Ramachandran. Not that she wasn’t proud of the man, whom the entire nation celebrates, but she didn’t want that to stop her from being herself.
She has always been independent in guiding herself in her profession and is proud of the fact that she hasn’t met with the necessity of using the influence of her celebrity parents, Kamal Haasan and Sarika, to get any opportunities.
Meanwhile, the actress is awaiting the releases of her two bollywood projects, D Day and Ramaiya Vastavaiya. Her last Tamil film, Moonu got her a role in Nikhil Advani’s D Day and Shruti has a very intense role in the film.
The young lady also says that Ramaiya Vastavaiya isn’t a film she would go and watch. But, ‘a number of permutation and combinations’ made her sign up for the project. She is also confident that her character would connect with the masses.
Both her Bollywood films are releasing on 19th July.
